Morgan Rutter is a queer, New York and Los Angeles based producer and director.
Raised on her family's farm in York, Pennsylvania, she moved to Los Angeles to study acting, earning her BFA from the University of Southern California. She began her career as an Associate Producer on popular network game shows, including PASSWORD (NBC) and Let's Make A Deal (CBS), before moving into independent film. She is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has screened at festivals including Inside Out, Raindance, Cleveland International, and Salute Your Shorts Film Festival. In 2024, she associate produced her first feature film, D(e)AD. From 2024–2025, she served as Production Supervisor and later Vice President of Production at FilmFrontier Studios, overseeing day-to-day production and directing their podcast branch. In 2026, she has produced several short films, a comedy pilot, and directed a commercial campaign for Farm to People launching on social media and CTV this fall. She is currently in post-production on her directorial debut, AS SHE SLEEPS. This year, she was also accepted into the prestigious Terre Di Cinema directing program in Italy. She spends her free time rock climbing, hiking, horseback-riding and hanging out with her 15-year-old rescue pup, Maisie.
